From M1 J39 Take the A636 sign-posted to Denby Dale, passing the Cedar Court Hotel on your left. Continue for approximately 3 miles and at the roundabout take the 2nd exit sign-posted to Denby Dale. Continue for approximately 5 miles through Clayton West, Scissett and Denby Dale. Continue forward on the A635 sign-posted to Manchester. At the T-Junction turn right onto the A629 sign-posted to Huddersfield (BP Garage on your right). Continue through Shepley village and under the railway bridge, passing the Cask and Spindle pub on your left. In approximately 200 yards Whitby Court is on your left. Turn in and parking is available beyond the building. |

From Huddersfield At Shorehead roundabout on the ring-road take the A629 sign-posted to Sheffield & Wakefield, passing Sainsbury’s on your left. Continue for approximately 2 miles and at the traffic lights at Waterloo Junction bear right staying on the A629 sign-posted to Sheffield. Continue for approximately 5 miles through Fenay Bridge, Kirkburton and Shelley. The road will take a 90o bend to the right and Whitby Court is approximately 300 yards on your right. Turn in and parking is available beyond the building. |

From Sheffield Follow the A61 North out of Sheffield sign-posted to Barnsley. Follow the road through Grenoside and continue past the turnings for Burncross and Chapeltown. At the Jet Garage, fork left onto the A629 sign-posted to Huddersfield. Continue through the villages of Wortley, ??, Ingbirchworth, and Birdsedge. Continue through Shepley village and under the railway bridge, passing the Cask and Spindle pub on your left. In approximately 200 yards Whitby Court is on your left. Turn in and parking is available beyond the building. |

By Train The trains running on the Penistone Line from Sheffield to Huddersfield stop at Shepley. When you leave the station follow the path down to the Cask and Spindle pub rather than the road back up to the village.
